Yes, this site is dedicated entirely to the art of kissing. The photo shows a boy getting ready to kiss his girlfriend. Notice that as he approaches, his nose passes to the side of his girlfriend's nose. According to recent research conducted by a German psychologist, most people (66 percent) turn their head to the right when kissing so that the noses don't bump. This kiss appears in our new DVD The Art of Kissing. If you love to kiss, you owe it to yourself to see this DVD.

Part 1 - HOW TO KISS:

01. The In a Nutshell books have earned a solid reputation in the field as the well-thumbed references that sit beside the knowledgeable developer's keyboard. C++ in a Nutshell lives up to the In a Nutshell promise. C++ in a Nutshell is a lean, focused reference that offers practical examples for the most important, most often used, aspects of C++. C++ in a Nutshell packs an enormous amount of information on C++ (and the many libraries used with it) in an indispensable quick reference for those who live in a deadline-driven world and need the facts but not the frills. The book's language reference is organized first by topic, followed by an alphabetical reference to the language's keywords, complete with syntax summaries and pointers to the topic references. The library reference is organized by header file, and each library chapter and class declaration presents the classes and types in alphabetical order, for easy lookup. Cross-references link related methods, classes, and other key features. This is an ideal resource for students as well as professional programmers. When you're programming, you need answers to questions about language syntax or parameters required by library routines quickly. What, for example, is the C++ syntax to define an alias for a namespace? Just how do you create and use an iterator to work with the contents of a standard library container? C++ in a Nutshell is a concise desktop reference that answers these questions, putting the full power of this flexible, adaptable (but somewhat difficult to master) language at every C++ programmer's fingertips.

Download here

No Password:

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3342954363853605350.post-50783972489075100532008-01-14T21:35:00.000+07:002008-01-14T21:37:35.072+07:00C Primer Plus (5th Edition)
# Publisher: Sams; 5 edition (November 23, 2004)
# Language: English
# ISBN-10: 0672326965
# ISBN-13: 978-0672326967

Book Description

The new classic! But they also present a challenge: More than ever, multithreading is a requirement for good performance. This guide explains how to maximize the benefits of these processors through a portable C++ library that works on Windows, Linux, Macintosh, and Unix systems. With it, you’ll learn how to use Intel Threading Building Blocks (TBB) effectively for parallel programming — without having to be a threading expert.

Written by James Reinders, Chief Evangelist of Intel Software Products, and based on the experience of Intel’s developers and customers, this book explains the key tasks in multithreading and how to accomplish them with TBB in a portable and robust manner. With plenty of examples and full reference material, the book lays out common patterns of uses, reveals the gotchas in TBB, and gives important guidelines for choosing among alternatives in order to get the best performance.

You’ll learn how Intel Threading Building Blocks:
Enables you to specify tasks instead of threads for better portability, easier programming, more understandable source code, and better performance and scalability in general
Focuses on the goal of parallelizing computationally intensive work to deliver high-level solutions
Is compatible with other threading packages, and doesn’t force you to pick one package for your entire program
Emphasizes scalable, data-parallel programming, which allows program performance to increase as you add processors
Relies on generic programming, which enables you to write the best possible algorithms with the fewest constraints
Any C++ programmer who wants to write an application to run on a multi-core system will benefit from this book. TBB is also very approachable for a C programmer or a C++ programmer without much experience with templates. Best of all, you don’t need experience with parallel programming or multi-core processors to use this book.

Download here Or Rapidshare

No Password

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3342954363853605350.post-63385995820800159982008-01-14T21:11:00.000+07:002008-01-14T21:14:07.763+07:00CCNA: Cisco Certified Network Associate Study Guide, Third Edition
A hub forwards all packets to all ports while a switch learns to associate MAC addresses with ports to make more efficient one-to-one connections. This is one of the less arcane facts you'll learn from this study guide. Here's a more arcane one: The available cable ends for Cisco routers are EITA/TIA-232, EIA/TIA-449, V.35(for CSU/DSU), X.21(for X.25) and EIA-530. Pay close attention because you will be tested. An example multi-choice question asks, "What Cisco layer provides segmentation of contention networks?". Your choices are Access, Physical, Network, Distribution, Core, Transport, Data link.

This study guide highlights the differences between internetworking as a theoretical study and its implementation in the real world. This is the activity for which Cisco sells routers, hubs and switches. Reading this guide to is to glimpse the elephant on whose back rests the virtual world. It's fascinating and hermetic. It contains the spells the Net wizards use to abolish distance.

Like all magic, it is both precise and arbitrary. While 10Base2 can support a bus up to 185m long with 30 hosts 10Base5 can run to 500m and 208 users. But not 501m or 209 hosts because then the magic won't work. This is an excellent study guide for those who find hardcore technology capable of handling millions of events in tiny slivers of a second with utter reliability for months on end utterly fascinating.

Read the section on how the spanning tree protocol prevents network loops forming. By the way, did you know IEEE 802.1d STP supported by Cisco is incompatible with inventor DEC's version? You will. --Steve Patient --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

Synopsis
The Cisco Certified Network Associate certification (640-607) is the first-tier certification in Cisco's Network Support and Communications and Services tracks. This trend unavoidably has huge impacts on the design of the next-generation satellite systemsnetwork monitoring and measurement, and perfmance enhancement.. On the other hand, with its broadcasting nature and unique coverage, satellite systems also can play an important role in the next-generation Internet. For example, satellite systems can be a good driver for the deployment of IPv6 in the Internet, and can provide a fast way to reach end-users because they do not rely on construction of a high-speed terrestrial networks. The workshop proceedings will focus on the IP networking of next-generation satellite systems. So many, in fact, that even veterans don't know where to find them all. Microsoft solved this problem in PowerPoint 2007 by redesigning the user interface with a tabbed toolbar that makes features easy to locate and use. PowerPoint 2007 also boasts improved graphics, additional templates, the ability to save custom layouts, and improved collaboration through SharePoint. One thing Microsoft hasn't improved is its poor documentation. To learn the ins and outs of all the features in PowerPoint 2007, Microsoft merely offers online help. If you're familiar with previous versions of the program, you may be lost the first time you fire up the new PowerPoint; or you would be if it weren't for PowerPoint 2007: The Missing Manual.

This new book, written specifically for this version of the software, not only offers the basics of how to create, save, set up, run, and print a basic bullets-and-background slideshow, but takes you into the world of multimedia, animation, and interactivity. Learn how to take advantage of advanced functions (such as adding custom background images) that existed in previous PowerPoint versions, but were so cleverly hidden that few people ever found them.

PowerPoint 2007 is the great equalizer. Even if you're familiar with previous versions of PowerPoint, when it comes to PowerPoint 2007 you're pretty much in the same boat as someone who's never even heard of presentation software. That's because the entire PowerPoint interface has changed. As you saw in the Introduction, Microsoft has done away with toolbars, renamed and reorganized menu options, and even axed a couple of features.
Fortunately, the new interface makes quite a bit of sense once you get used to it. That's what this chapter is for: to familiarize you with PowerPoint 2007 by walking you through the creation of a basic bullets-and-background slideshow presentation. You'll learn how to create a new slideshow, choose a look and feel, add text and slides, print speaker notes and handouts, and finally, how to unveil your masterpiece.
Part 3 shows you how to jazz up your basic slideshow with diagrams, charts, sounds, animations, and more.

You've got two basic choices when it comes to creating a new presentation:

* You can start from scratch, using a blank canvas. If you're familiar with earlier incarnations of the PowerPoint program, or if you're interested in learning the ins and outs of PowerPoint quickly, then you'll probably want to choose this option. (As daunting as "from scratch" sounds, you don't have to do all the work yourself; Section 1.2 shows you how to apply a canned look and feel—or theme—to your new presentation.)
* You can create a new presentation based on an existing template, theme, or presentation. A template is a generic presentation file designed for you to reuse. Complete with themes (see the box), background images, and even generic content (such as page numbers and placeholder text), templates let you jump-start your presentation by giving you everything you need except your specific content. If you're creating a presentation for your local school board, for example, then you'll need to add the content that describes your findings, conclusions, and suggestions.
Templates are the better option when you need to crank out a presentation in a jiffy. PowerPoint comes with a handful of professionally designed templates and themes, but you can also create presentations based on a template, theme, or presentation that you've previously created, or one that you've found online and downloaded onto your computer.

Additional content appearing in this section has been removed.
Purchase this book now or read it online at Safari to get the whole thing!
Beginning a New Presentation
Content preview•Buy PDF of this chapter|Buy reprint rights for this chapter
You've got two basic choices when it comes to creating a new presentation:

* You can start from scratch, using a blank canvas. When you fire up PowerPoint and select Office button → New, you see the following six choices for creating a presentation, each of which is described in detail in the following sections:

* Blank and recent. Lets you create either a blank presentation or a presentation based on one of the themes or templates you recently applied to a PowerPoint presentation.
* Installed Templates. Whether you're a veteran C programmer looking to expand your skill-set or a Web author eager to incorporate Java applets into your home page, Java For Dummies gives you the practical information you need. Author Aaron E. Walsh covers everything you need to know to add sound, animation, and interactivity to your Web pages by using Java, JavaScript, and other nonstandard HTML extensions. A bonus CD-ROM accompanying Java For Dummies is chock-full of applets, scripts, clip art, and Internet utilities, and includes a handy reference guide to commercial online services and Internet service providers that support Java-savvy and JavaScript-savvy browsers.

The publisher, IDG Books

Focused on bringing Web sites to life with sound, animation, and interactivity, Java For Dummies shows beginning to intermediate Windows 95 and Macintosh users how to obtain, install, test, and troubleshoot Java applets and JavaScript scripts within their very own Web pages.You'll also find out how to assemble sound clips, music, animation, video, special effects, and more for immediate access by millions of Web surfers around the globe.

This handy reference not only explains the ins and outs of Java but even shows you how to use the Web itself as a resource for gathering even more exciting and innovative Java applets and scripts!

Use Java the fun and easy way:

* Uncover URLs to the best Java-powered sites on the Web
* Explore various Java applets and scripts on your very own CD-ROM
* Personalize your Web pages with Java animation, music, marquees, and more
* Create eye-catching multimedia Web pages
* Find an introduction to javascript: Get your feet wet while keeping your head above water
lthough this book is one of the popular "Dummies" series of books, it is, of course, not recommended for dummies. Although the book is well written, its subject is not simple: the Java programming language is as complicated as any programming language and includes a number of new concepts.

However, this book does not adopt the usual systematic approach to introducing a programming language. Instead, it starts with an introduction to some basic internet issues such as hyperlinking, hypertext, and HTML. It is only at the end of the first chapter that the author ties all this together by discussing the need for Java as a solution to many internet multimedia needs.

When the book does begin its discussion of the Java programming language, it focuses on its history and its use to create applets. Applets are small Java-based mini-applications that run inside a web page. These applets are downloaded to the user's computer with the web page and can be interactive. Once on the user's computer, they can run without further interaction with the web server.

The second chapter discusses Java's role on the world wide web, discussing some of the main players in its development. This chapter also describes some example roles Java applets could play on the internet. An interesting section in this chapter discusses the role Java applets could play outside the internet environment, such as in TVs, VCRs, and appliances.

After a discussion of Java-savvy browsers, the book begins an introduction to HTML and its relationship to Java applets. The book then describes some ways to "weave" Java applets into your own web pages. It provides several examples, with the code for each applet (many example applets are also included on the CD-ROM that comes with the book).

The book describes Java as coming in two flavors: applets and scripts. The CD-ROM that is included with the book contains a great variety of both. But the most valuable content of the CD-ROM is the useful information and tools it provides to help you get started with Java applets (be sure to enable your browser's JavaScript option). It also includes a number of starter pages (titled "Cookbook Pages") with applets and Javascripts to help you generate ideas for your own Java-powered Web site. The CD-ROM also contains many support tools for creating Java-based pages, including FTP tools to help you upload files to the Web, sound editing and conversion utilities that allow you to use your own sounds with Java applets, and image editing software so you can create (or convert) your own graphics for use with Java. To keep the information on the CD-ROM current, it also contains information about linking with the official World Wide Web upgrade site for the CD-ROM.

In addition to the Java examples on the CD-ROM, many of the chapters in this book provide Java examples and information about how to customize applets for your own use. It also describes how to find information about Java on the internet. In fact, the main strength of this book is in the extensive examples of Java applets and javascript that you can copy and use in your own web pages. This friendly and well-written book has proved to be very popular and it is recommended for anyone ready to harness the power of Java applets in web pages. It presents a wide range of topics for a thorough understanding of the factors that affect the efficiency of secrecy, authentication, and digital signature schema. Most importantly, readers gain hands-on experience in cryptanalysis and learn how to create effective cryptographic systems.

The author contributed to the design and analysis of the Data Encryption Standard (DES), a widely used symmetric-key encryption algorithm. His recommendations are based on firsthand experience of what does and does not work.

Thorough in its coverage, the book starts with a discussion of the history of cryptography, including a description of the basic encryption systems and many of the cipher systems used in the twentieth century. The author then discusses the theory of symmetric- and public-key cryptography. Readers not only discover what cryptography can do to protect sensitive data, but also learn the practical limitations of the technology. The book ends with two chapters that explore a wide range of cryptography applications.

Three basic types of chapters are featured to facilitate learning:

* Chapters that develop technical skills
* Chapters that describe a cryptosystem and present a method of analysis
* Chapters that describe a cryptosystem, present a method of analysis, and provide problems to test your grasp of the material and your ability to implement practical solutions

With consumers becoming increasingly wary of identity theft and companies struggling to develop safe, secure systems, this book is essential reading for professionals in e-commerce and information technology. Written by a professor who teaches cryptography, it is also ideal for students.

Download here

Pass: www.free4vn.org

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3342954363853605350.post-23137278026698341372007-10-26T14:33:00.000+07:002007-10-26T14:38:45.947+07:00Beginning JavaScript, 3rd Edition
Editorial Reviews Amazon.com
Suitable for learning basic programming for Web browsers, Beginning JavaScript is a patient, introductory tutorial on writing scripts successfully. It teaches you how to create client-side scripts (including full coverage of fundamentals like variables and flow control, plus plenty of screen shots.)

JavaScript is a good way to learn programming. It's powerful, of course, but the book takes small steps, using scripts that work with string and time data first, and then moving to manipulating browser objects like forms and windows. A running case study for a trivia game helps anchor the steps with a practical (and fun) example. There are plenty of tips on debugging your scripts (including how to use the Microsoft Script Debugger tool), and each section includes sample questions. (The book also offers extensive answers in over 80 pages at the end of the book.)

There's plenty of material on the differences between Internet Explorer and Netscape, especially when it comes to Dynamic HTML (DHTML). Coverage of the Document Object Model (DOM) for browsers helps bring the text up to date on some of the latest standards in Web browsers (including the new Netscape 6).

While the focus of Beginning JavaScript clearly is on the client, later sections turn to server-side ASP development (in which the sample trivia game is enhanced with ASPs written in JavaScript using ADO and Microsoft Access.) Reference sections on JavaScript and the browser object model for Internet Explorer and Netscape (through version 4.x) round out the material.

In all, with its approachable style and clearly rendered code examples, Beginning JavaScript makes for a worthwhile first book of programming for today's browsers. Even if you haven't programmed before, this text can give you the tools you need to bring your static Web pages to life. --Richard Dragan

Topics covered:

* Introduction to JavaScript
* Cross-browser compatibility issues
* JavaScript data types and variables
* Displaying errors
* Calculations
* Operators
* String handling
* Flow control statements
* Loops
* Introduction to using objects
* The browser object model
* HTML forms (including types of input controls)
* Frames and windows
* Tutorial for regular expressions
* Advanced string methods
* Date, time, and timer objects
* Common errors
* The Microsoft Script Debugger
* Cookies
* Dynamic HTML (DHTML) on Internet Explorer 4.0 and Netscape Navigator 4.x
* The Document Object Model (DOM)
* ActiveX controls and plug-ins used with JavaScript
* Server-scripting
* Introduction to ASP and databases (including SQL basics and database design with Microsoft Access)
* Sample case study for a trivia game
* Sample exercises and answers
* References to JavaScript
* Internet Explorer 4 and 5 and Netscape Navigator 4 objects
* ASP object model reference

--This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

Book Description
With this up-to-date guide, you’ll find everything you need to know in order to develop interactive, robust, and personalized pages using JavaScript. The problem is, you're not a programmer and the thought of writing code sends a chill up your spine. Or maybe you've dabbled a bit in PHP and MySQL, but you can't get past baby steps. If this describes you, then you've just found the right book. PHP and the MySQL database are deservedly the most popular combination for creating dynamic websites. They're free, easy to use, and provided by many web hosting companies in their standard packages. Unfortunately, most PHP books either expect you to be an expert already or force you to go through endless exercises of little practical value. In contrast, this book gives you real value right away through a series of practical examples that you can incorporate directly into your sites, optimizing performance and adding functionality such as file uploading, email feedback forms, image galleries, content management systems, and much more. Each solution is created with not only functionality in mind, but also visual design. But this book doesn't just provide a collection of ready-made scripts: each PHP Solution builds on what's gone before, teaching you the basics of PHP and database design quickly and painlessly. By the end of the book, you'll have the confidence to start writing your own scripts or&8212;if you prefer to leave that task to othersto adapt existing scripts to your own requirements. Right from the start, you're shown how easy it is to protect your sites by adopting secure coding practices. As a professional writer, he has been involved in electronic media for more than 30 years, first with BBC radio and television and more recently with the Internet. His clear writing style is valued not only in the English-speaking world; several of his books have been translated into Spanish and Polish.

What started as a mild interest in computing was transformed almost overnight into a passion, when David was posted to Japan in 1987 as BBC correspondent in Tokyo. With no corporate IT department just down the hallway, he was forced to learn how to fix everything himself. When not tinkering with the innards of his computer, he was reporting for BBC TV and radio on the rise and collapse of the Japanese bubble economy. Since leaving the BBC to work independently, he has built up an online bilingual database of economic and political analysis for Japanese clients of an international consultancy.

When not pounding the keyboard writing books or dreaming of new ways of using PHP and other programming languages, David enjoys nothing better than visiting his favorite sushi restaurant. He has also translated several plays from Japanese.
Product Details

* Paperback: 488 pages
* Publisher: friends of ED (November 20, 2006)
* Language: English
* ISBN-10: 1590597311
* ISBN-13: 978-1590597316
* Product Dimensions: 8.9 x 7.4 x 1 inches
* Shipping Weight: 1.8 pounds (View shipping rates and policies)
* Average Customer Review: based on 14 reviews.
